My blog has been changed to make it more appealing for those who have New England ancestors and want to see the area through photos. Things I’ll include are typical white New England churches, libraries showing their genealogical collection, historical societies, cemeteries, war memorials, in general, anything to do with history.

For four years I’ve blogged mostly about my personal genealogy in New England (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire), New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wyoming, and the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada. I still will, can’t forget my own roots.

Please check out the labels on the right side for articles. The header tabs at the top are a work in progress.

Tombstone Tuesday -- Anne Dudley Bradstreet

Anne Dudley Bradstreet, America's First Poetress
My 8th great grandmother
First Burying Ground, No. Andover, Essex Co., Massachusetts.

It is assumed that Anne Dudley Bradstreet was buried in this cemetery, and the memorial stone was placed here on September 16, 2000. It was in honor of her 350 yr. anniversary of her birth. I was invited to attend, by the No. Andover Historical Commission, and there were about 50 of us there.

Yes, and nothing else is getting done. Thanks for the note.

Awesome. You appear to have taken after her. You do have a way with words.

Hummer, many thanks. It has been many years since I had to write, so it isn't a natural thing for me. I don't even know how to spell any more!
