Nicholas Woodbury is my 1st cousin 12 generations removed. I descend from his cousin, John Woodbury (1583-1642) who lived in Salem, married Joanna Humphrey, and thus had generations of Humphrey Woodburys after that!
I descend from Nicholas through his daughter, Abigail, and his son, Isaac.
Their grandchildren, William J. Ober and Rebecca Stone (3rd cousins once removed) married a few generations later and had my 4th great-grandmother, Hannah Ober. My family tree always seems to grow back in on itself. :)
